I was born and raised in a small town in the Ottawa Valley.  My journey as a yoga student began in the 60’s while practicing with my Mum in the family living room.  I spent many years beating the crap out of my body as a competitive athlete before returning to yoga in the mid 90’s.  During the first class I attended, I finally listened to my body and I knew that yoga was what I had been searching for all my life.  My body, mind and spirit have been thanking me ever since!

In 1999 I travelled to India and completed the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC).  I have been studying with Bryan Kest since the turn of the century and became a Certified Power Yoga Instructor in 2009.  I completed a 10 day Vipassana Meditation Course in 2011.  I am currently working towards completing my Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Instructor Training Certification with Sadie Nardini.

I have been blessed to be instructing yoga since 1999.  I continue to expand my yogic life through daily practice, attending classes with a variety of instructors, living with intention and laughing as much as possible.  For me, yoga is everything and everything is yoga!

Flow Yoga

Flow yoga is about connecting your movements with your breath to build a dynamic fluid practice so your postures stream together like a dance in slow motion.  Breath is your connection to life so listen to your inner yoga teacher and let your breathe guide you through this practice.  Bring your mat, an open heart and a willingness to explore yourself.

Power Yoga 

Please don’t let the word “power” scare you.  Power yoga is about working hard sensitively!  It’s about feeling good, not looking good. This practice is all about listening to your inner yoga teacher and feeling your way through.  Postures are linked to the rhythm of your breath using a mix of flowing sequences and steadily held poses.    If you are ready to journey deeper into yourself, this practice is for you.  Bring your mat, an open heart and a willingness to explore yourself.

Yoga Cross Train

Yoga Cross Train is about being connected with your strong inner self.  It’s about letting the deep, strong core of your being support you through your practice.  This practice incorporates a variety of flowing sequences, steadily held poses and strength based repeaters to build your strong core.  Bring your mat, an open heart and a willingness to explore your limits.
