Kim McGibbon
Certified - Yoga

Kim came to yoga after caring for her mom at the end of her life. This chance to slow down and spend time quieting her mind and being in her body provided her with deep healing. In January of 2022, she completed her 200 hour teacher training at Yandara in Baja Mexico and has been teaching flow and yin since her return. She later went on to do a Breath and Meditation training in 2023. Practicing with others has brought great joy to her life and she is grateful for the opportunity to share what she has to give with others.
In her life beyond the studio Kim is a Registered Dietitian who is presently working in public health. She is a mom of a fantastic daughter - a kinesiology student, gymnastics coach and lover of Lake Superior. Kim dreams about a time in her life where she can share her love of yoga around the world by teaching in warm places and eating delicious food.

I absolutely love going to my Tuesday evening Warm Yin with Kim. It helps this anxious girl focus and relax and stay that way into the next day or two! Kim is warm and considerate to every participant regardless of their level which makes it so easy to set this class a priority for myself.

I had the best warm yin class last night with Kim. The ambiance was relaxing with low lights and a lantern next to Kim’s mat. I’d had a deep therapeutic massage earlier in the afternoon partially to release some very stubborn facia and ease some tight muscles around my hip joint. The gentle warm yin was the perfect partner to the massage for furthering the release in that joint. I still feel great this morning and my hip/leg/back is very comfortable. :-)

I really enjoyed Warm Yin Yoga with Kim, the class had a really beautiful flow and was very relaxing.

Kim's warm yin class was absolutely lovely! Exactly what I needed to unwind after work. Her voice was soothing and her cues were direct and simple so as to allow for one's eyes to be closed for the entire class. I look forward to my next yin experience.
