meet your teachers 

​Erin combines over 1000 hrs of Yoga training with pilates, myofascial work and neuroscience in her classes. She developed Vagal Yoga in 2016 and loves to share techniques to help erase tension and help people feel at ease while activating healing.

​Sandi O’Brien was looking for a career change when she discovered Pilates. A family oriented, fun-loving, traveler, Sandi has been a student of Pilates for 15 years and a teacher for 10 years.

Born and raised in California, a Thunder Bay resident for 3 years, this yogi brings a little sunshine wherever she goes. 

After years of living and teaching around the world, Jennifer is thrilled to be back in Thunder Bay teaching at The Bodymind Centre. Jennifer did her yoga teacher training in Mysore India in 2008.

Yoga helps to keep me healthy, balanced and connected. I have been a student of yoga for over 25 years.

​Nancy loves to teach Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Alignment based Hatha Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. Nancy’s love of yoga began with the practice of Sivananda Hatha Yoga more than 20 years ago and Modo (Moksha) Yoga (hot yoga) 10 years ago.

​Jackii Raynard is a jack of many trades; yoga teacher, social worker, rower and mother. 20 years of practice and 9 years of teaching under her belt, she takes a more modern approach to her classes.

Angela Slomke, MSc Biology, YA-RYT-500. I am a certified 500 hour yoga teacher in Hatha Tantra as well as being certified in Restorative, Yin, Somatics and Yoga for Stress, Anxiety, Depression and PTSD.

​Sheila Sundell is a Registered Massage Therapist (CMTO 2008) and a Certified Movement & Mobility Specialist (M|WOD Institute, California).  She has a full-time established practice and years of clinical experience in multi-disciplinary settings. 

Kim's love of movement brought her to aerobics in her early teenage years. At 18 she did her fitness instructor certification. She didn't begin to teach until after getting her Nutrition degree and becoming a mother. 

Kelly is a kind, caring and compassionate teacher who strives to make every student feel comfortable and welcome in her Grief Yoga, Yin and Restorative classes.

Student, practitioner, and teacher of Ashtanga Yoga.  Rooted but flowing, Jessie's classes will warm the body, centre the heart, and calm the mind. 

She has experienced tremendous growth in her overall health and well-being since she began practising yoga over ten years ago. The desire to share the practice with others brought her to pursue a teaching role.

Chris took his first yoga class at BMC close to two decades ago.    He is a teacher in the Sivananda tradition and taught in the organization for several years.  

Irene is passionate about yoga since discovering it’s benefits 35+ years ago. She has been graced with the opportunity to instruct Yoga in the City Of Thunder Bay for over 20 years.

Lori is a Registered Trauma Informed Yoga and Meditation Teacher.  She completed her  training through Anuttara Ashram in British Columbia in 2021.
